Mechanical and Systems Engineering

Precision that moves as one
murmuration across a
machine works

Starling Engineering Company Limited designs, machines, automates and services the mechanical systems that keep industry turning, working from a dedicated workshop in San Po Kong, Hong Kong. Every gear, every shaft and every control loop is treated as one part of a single moving whole.

When a hundred parts must agree at a thousandth of a millimetre, you need more than a workshop. You need a team that thinks of the whole machine the way a flock moves across the sky, each part held in its place by the discipline of all the others. That is how we do engineering at StarlingEng, and it is why the machines we design, build and maintain run smoothly for years.

What we do

Five transmission lines, one integrated engineering shop. Each row is a full capability, designed to couple with all the others.

Unlike a general machine shop that simply accepts parts, we take responsibility for the whole transmission of effort from a concept on a screen to a reliable machine on your floor. That means we can move a job from design into machining, from machining into automation, and from automation into long term maintenance without the friction of handing a drawing between strangers. When one team owns the whole path, tolerances line up, responsibilities stay clear, and the finished machine behaves the way it was designed to behave.

Precision Machining and Tooling

We hold tight tolerances on lathes, mills and grinding centres so your parts fit, seat and run first time. From prototype batches to repeat production runs, our tooling room cuts jigs, fixtures and cutting tools that keep your lines online and your scrap low.

Machining is where our precision begins. Our machinists read drawings with an engineer eye, checking not just the numbers but the function, so a part that holds a bearing or registers against a datum is cut in the order and from the stock that makes it dimensionally stable. We track each component against its specification and report back, so you know exactly what you are receiving.

M-02

Mechanical Design and Drafting

Our engineers turn operating concepts into clear drawings, bills of materials and assembly instructions. We model moving parts, simulate load paths and issue manufacturing-ready documentation that your workshop and suppliers can follow without guesswork.

Good design is more than geometry. We think about how a part will be made, how it will be cleaned, how a maintenance technician will reach it, and how it will fail gracefully rather than violently. That practical outlook keeps our designs manufacturable and our machines serviceable long after handover.

M-03

Automation and Control Systems

We integrate PLCs, sensors, drives and HMIs into machines that sequence, measure and react on their own. Our control cabinets are bundled, wired and commissioned on site, giving your plant repeatable quality and operators a clear window into every cycle.

Automation should remove variability, not add complexity. We build control systems that are easy for your operators to run and easy for your maintenance team to fault find, with tidy labelling, clear alarms and logic that matches the physical machine rather than standing apart from it.

M-04

Plant Maintenance and Field Service

Preventive schedules, corrective callouts and emergency response all covered by the same team that built the machines. We monitor wear, replace parts before they fail and keep your plant uptime high and your maintenance book clean.

Because we know the machines we build, our maintenance teams arrive with the right parts, the right drawings and a plan. We record what we find and what we replace, building a maintenance history that lets us predict when parts will wear and schedule work around your production rather than against it.

M-05

Custom Fabrication and Welding

We build frames, guards, chutes, tanks and structural assemblies to your specification. Mig, tig and arc methods, plus pressing, bending and finishing, give you one accountable source for custom steelwork that fits the rest of your operation.

Fabricated steel is the skeleton of most plants, so we build it true. Our welders set up, tack, check and finish each assembly square and to dimension, so the guards line up, the chutes slope correctly and the frames bolt together without shimmed persuasion on site.

380 machines serviced
210 projects delivered
16 years in the works
99 percent uptime kept

Good engineering is not a single brilliant part. It is the quiet discipline of thousands of small decisions that interlock and agree, so that a plant runs, a line hums and a promise is kept. We hold that standard on every job, from the first drawing to the final handshake.

Starling Engineering Company Limited

How we work

Every project follows the same disciplined path, so you always know where your job stands.

01

Scoping

We meet, review your drawings or problem, and agree the outcome, constraints and boundaries before any cost is committed.

02

Design

We model the idea, confirm materials and loads, and issue drawings for your approval before cutting steel or metal.

03

Build

Machining, fabrication and automation happen in our workshop with inspection checkpoints built into the sequence.

04

Commission

On site we install, test every function, train your team and hand over with clear documentation for future maintenance.

Put our workshop to work

From a single machined part to a fully automated line, we take your project from drawing board to running floor. Send us a drawing, a photo or a problem, and we will reply with a clear plan and a fair price.
